They have broken down the average daily room rate (ADR) into two sections- the average daily room rate of the Las Vegas Strip (Las Vegas Blvd), the average daily room rate of Downtown Las Vegas, and the average of both. We’ll take a look at all three in order to get the best representation of the price per month.

Although December is a pretty high-priced month for Las Vegas hotels, you can get some of the cheapest hotels right after the holidays and right before New Year’s!

When it comes to booking hotel rooms, the cheapest time to do so is in January, February, and March during the week (Sunday-Thursday).

Cheapest Time to Fly To Las Vegas
The amount of money you end up spending on plane tickets is largely dependent on where you are in relation to Las Vegas. For example, a plane ticket from California to Las Vegas will likely be much cheaper than a plane ticket from New York to Las Vegas.
Unfortunately, airlines don’t generally follow any type of seasonal pattern, which can make planning cheap flights hard to predict.
That being said, Las Vegas has some of the cheapest flights in the country, as it’s a city heavily dependent on tourism. In fact, the casinos in Las Vegas actually have deals with airlines!
If you’re looking to get the best rates when booking a Las Vegas flight, you should make sure to buy your tickets to Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) at least one month in advance. Additionally, you should always avoid flying into Las Vegas on a Friday, as well as flying out on Sunday. Both of these days will be much more expensive than any of the other days.
Least Expensive Time To Fly To Las Vegas
Sunday through Thursday is the best time to fly into Las Vegas since the weekend (Friday-Saturday) is much busier than during the week. This leads to lower flight prices overall.

Let’s look at each month and compare the expense of traveling to Las Vegas:
January: $
January is a fantastic time to visit Las Vegas. The prices are low after New Years’ Eve celebrations are over. Hotels are usually cheap, and as long as you avoid weekends and big events, flights can be as well.
There are only two annual events regularly scheduled in January- though there may be more scheduled depending on the year. Watch out for the Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade Show, as well as the Consumer Electronics Show. This show usually brings in around 200,000 people, and traveling to Las Vegas will be much more expensive during these week-long events.
February: $
Other than Super Bowl weekend, February is one of the cheapest months to travel to Las Vegas. That being said, check when events are happening, as many small trade shows happen in February, such as the World of Concrete trade show.
March: $$
March will be a little pricier than January and February, but not by much. This small change is mostly due to March Madness, but the ConExpo/ConAGG is a large event that happens once every three years or so- make sure to check if it’s scheduled.
Although March is a fairly cheap month, try to schedule your trip towards the beginning of the month, as the end of the month brings spring breakers.

April: $$
April usually sees many spring breakers visiting, as well as a couple of big trade shows. Check when the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) trade show is scheduled, as it usually brings around about 100,000 media members every year.
May: $$$
Hotel rates historically go up by a lot in the month of May. Although there are fewer conventions during this month, it’s the start of summer and by the end of the month, Las Vegas is packed. Memorial Day Weekend is usually incredibly hectic. Additionally, Cinco de Mayo attracts a large crowd, and so does the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC).
June: $
Around mid-June, prices tend to drop. There aren’t that many conventions, and the main attractions in the month of June are the nightclubs and big pool parties.
July: $
Prices this month are still usually down. Although the weekend of the Fourth of July is generally busy and expensive, the rest of the month is fairly priced. In fact, it’s probably one of the best times to visit Las Vegas!
August: $
Prices in August are very similar to the previous 2 months. That being said, August is the beginning of conventions coming back, so make sure to check the dates of big events such as Black Hat USA (a cyber security conference), Def Con (a hacker convention), and more.
Since it’s still warm and schools are still out, pool parties and nightlife are still a major draw during the month of August.
September: $$
Labor Day Weekend is extremely expensive and should be avoided. September marks the end of summer for many people as schools are back in session, but people usually enjoy celebrating this with a bang, traveling to Vegas for their last summer vacation of the year, and letting loose before going back to school.
Additionally, there are several big events such as the iHeartRadio Music Festival and the LIB (Life is Beautiful Festival). These festivals bring thousands upon thousands of people to Las Vegas, making the prices of hotels and plane tickets skyrocket.
October: $$$
October brings conventions back with full force, making it one of the most expensive months to travel to Las Vegas. Not only are the hotel rates incredibly expensive during the month of October, but they only get worse as the month goes on.
You’ll find that the most expensive rates are found at the very end of the month for Halloween, as it’s one of the biggest holidays in Sin City.
November: $$
Although November is much slower than October, two of the city’s major sports teams, the Vegas Golden Knights and the Las Vegas Raiders, are both in mid-season. Their games attract thousands of people, so make sure to see when they’re playing before planning your trip.
That being said, Thanksgiving marks a slow spot for Vegas. The Las Vegas weather is much cooler in November, and there will be fewer people visiting than in the previous months.
